Selvedge Denim Commuter Jacket

Sale Price: $440.00 Original Price: $550.00

The selvedge commuter jacket is based on early Type I denim jackets, keeping their original structure and key details.

A pointed collar, riveted 5 pocket fronts, pleated back, and a cinch buckle that adds subtle adjustability and shape to the jacket.

In its making

Constructed from 14oz American selvedge denim, sourced from deadstock runs. The fabric holds a firm structure at first, gradually softening and shaping through wear.

The surface carries depth in the indigo, with a dry hand that breaks in over time rather than all at once.

Built using single-needle and chainstitch methods, with attention given to areas that take stress. Reinforced with rivets, bartacs, and durable hardware.

Each piece is made by hand in New York, in limited quantities.

Fit

Shorter in length with a boxy, vintage informed proportion.

The back cinch allows for slight adjustment through the waist, changing how the jacket sits depending on wear.

Designed to hold its shape while still moving naturally with the body.

Take your normal size for a relaxed fit.
Size down for a closer shape.

In wear

Intended to layer over a t-shirt or light knit.

The weight gives structure at first, then loosens with wear, developing creases and fades unique to the person wearing it.
